Quotation and electronic acceptance

Between the quote and the job there is usually an email thread, a printed signature and manual copying into a system. In Kirjus the gap is one press.

Lines, totals and VAT

A quote is built from lines: description, quantity, unit and unit price. The net total, the VAT and the grand total are calculated from the lines, and the breakdown by VAT rate appears on its own. The printable A4 always looks the same.

The customer accepts from a link

The customer receives an address of their own showing the quote in full, which they accept or reject under their name. The acceptance is recorded with a timestamp, so who accepted and when is on file.

From accepted quote to job

An accepted quote can be turned into a site at the press of a button. The customer, the site name and the number carry over as they are, and the same details are not written twice.

Expiry takes care of itself

A quote has a validity date, and an expired quote is marked as lapsed automatically. The open quotes show what is still waiting for an answer.

FAQ

Is an acceptance given through the link binding?

The acceptance stores the name, the time and the IP address, so it is strong evidence that a contract was formed. Assessing binding force under contract law always depends on the case.

Can a quote be resent in an amended form?

Yes. A quote can be edited as long as it is a draft, and a new version can be made from a sent one.
